Lifeguard PT/Seasonal

RequirementsEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Certification in shallow water safety skills, first aid and CPR required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Certifications: Lifeguarding, CPR (ARC or AHA) and First Aid (ARC or SEMT) Holiday Inn Club Vacations provides training.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to write and follow verbal and written instructions.
Show competency in water by completing a simple pre-hiring swim test to include entering the water. safely, swimming at least 10 yards, diving and retrieving a ten-pound brick in at least five feet of water.
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with all guests and other staff.
Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
Carries out any reasonable request by management of which the employee is capable of performing.
Demonstrates a sincere dedication to provide an unsurpassed level of owner and guest satisfaction.
Demonstrates a professional appearance and a pleasant personality.
Demonstrates a high degree of judgment and decision making.
Ability to be self-directed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job the employee will be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Will be required to swim, walk, bend, crouch, crawl, kneel, stoop, twist, reach, push, pull, and operate service equipment. Must be able to lift up to thirty pounds. Specific work assignments may change without notice. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The majority of work will be performed in a non-climate controlled environment, but may be exposed to inclement weather and varying degrees of temperature on occasion.
WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS:
Schedules will vary depending on business needs, and may entail working nights, weekends and holidays. Must be flexible to work outside of departmental operating hours.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
